It can be a bit difficult to test since there are various pins on the connector, and each has its own functions. The most effective method to test it is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. It should read around 1000 ohms when it is at full operation. 2. Injectors
Yesterday, while accelerating at full speed from the highway paytoll, I experienced a big cut in power as if the engine was running out of gas or injectors are not firing at all. I pulled out the spark plugs this morning, 3 were soaked with gasoline and the fourth was dry. When I start the engine with no sparks, I put a piece of tissue on top of each injector hole and the 3 drenched with gazoline pop out, but the 4th one stays shut. I checked the ground connection of ECU pins 14,30, and 48/55. I found zero ohm. So i assume the problem is somewhere else.
I also tried to reset the PID but with no luck. The car will start when the G28 is unplugged, and it is running fine with the G28 plugged in. However, the intermittent misfire problem continues to occur at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62) even when it is unplugged, shows an ice temperature of -49c. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bars when the actual pressure is zero.
I'm not sure what to do, i feel i have pretty much completely ruled out all other possibilities. I'm worried that i might have missed something. Please let me know should you have any suggestions! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump in the g28 can be activated by a signal from the RPM sensor.
